How Alerts build on Tandem’s existing visualization and investigation capabilities

As efficiency becomes increasingly critical to building operations, teams also need a way to know when immediate action is required without constant proactive monitoring.

This is where Alerts become essential to an operations team’s performance.

Tandem is augmenting its capabilities from visualization and investigation capabilities into notification and alerting. Thresholds allow you to define normal operating ranges for sensors and assets. They help your teams understand when their assets enter anomalous territory, but someone still needs to notice. With our new Alerts feature, your teams can now be notified when attention is required, letting the twin handle the monitoring and allowing visualization tools like timelines, charts, and dashboards to be used for review and analysis, not constant vigilance.

Every organization manages alerts differently, with some relying on email, others on internal services or management platforms. With Tandem, alert conditions can be configured in the application and integrated through Tandem Connect pipelines, APIs, and webhooks, enabling operational alerts to easily flow into the tools teams already use. Tandem remains the aggregator of all complex operational systems that facility teams can rely on, while Tandem Connect orchestrates the flow of information to those who need it, when they need it.

The introduction of Alerts, together with the betas for Tickets and operations dashboards, enables operations teams not only to pull in all the data they need in one place, but also to push alerts to any system they need to for the flexibility that real-world operations need.
